Constructing the Miniature Wishing Well Roof

The wood craft wishing well roof is composed of the following craft parts from the supply list:

For The Roof You Need
  • The 2 rectangular pieces of balsa wood cut to 4" by 2 1/2"
  • The 2 triangular pieces of balsa wood cut to 2 3/4"x2 3/4"x3 7/8"
  • The length of 1/8" dowel cut to 4 1/4"
  • The length of 1/4" square stock cut to 4" length.
  • The 1/8" balsa wood can be cut with a craft knife.

    Glue the rectangular pieces with a craft knife so that they just meet to the 4" length of square stock as shown.

    Complete the Miniature Wishing Well Roof

    To finished the basic miniature wood-craft wishing well roof construction, glue the triangular pieces to the ends of the rectangular pieces as shown in the illustration.

    From this point of view, you can see the seam where the rectangular pieces meet.

    To cover the exposed rectangle edges at the top of the roof, glue the 1/8" dowel along the seam formed where the rectangular pieces meet.
