Wood Craft Christmas Tree Ornament Supplies

Christmas Tree Ornament Supplies

The inset of this image shows a holiday craft Christmas tree that you can make.

With a loop of twine or ribbon added at the top, it makes a great hanging ornament for your full-sized Christmas tree.

What you need to make wood craft Christmas tree
  • A 1 1/4 inch diameter wood ball
  • A 1 inch diameter wood ball
  • A 3/4 inch diameter wood ball with center hole
  • A doll pin stand
  • Delta Snow or snow paint
  • Two wood star shapes about 1 1/4 inches across
  • Two shiny plastic star shapes about 3/4 inch across
  • A toothpick
  • Some colorful sequins
  • A 6 inch length of ribbon or twine (not shown)
  • The wood star shapes come in wood shape assortments. The silver stars come in shape assortments, and have sticky backs.

Here's some reputable online supplies where you can obtain these materials.

    Holiday Craft Tree Star

Start with the Christmas Tree Star

You can start your wood craft tree construction by making the star that will sit atop the miniature Christmas tree.

As the image illustrates, first glue the wooden star shapes back to back onto the end of a toothpick.

Then paint the wood stars, and add glitter if you want.

Finally, stick the shiny plastic stars onto the center of the wood shape stars.

Holiday Craft Miniature Tree with Snow

Add a Coat of Snow to the Miniature Christmas Tree

Next, add a coat of Delta Snow or other snow paint to the miniature Christmas tree. Don't get it on the base.

In this image, the base has already been painted red.

Finished Holiday Craft Miniature Christmas Tree

Finish the Wood Craft Miniature Christmas Tree Ornament

Make a loop from the twine or ribbon.

Break off some of the toothpick so that it can be inserted deep enough into the hole on top the tree to have the star flush with the top.

Put glue on the bottom end of the toothpick, and use it to push the ribbon or twine ends into the hole atop the miniature Christmas tree.

Push the toothpick down so that the star sits just above the top of the tree.

Paint the snow covered miniature tree green.

Glue the colored sequins around the tree to finish its own decoration.

Now your wood craft miniature is ready to help embellish your full-sized Christmas Tree.
